Laminate is the chameleon of flooring that has become increasingly more difficult to distinguish from real natural wood and tile flooring. Laminate is offered by many manufacturers in wood plank designs, with a wide range of colors in realistic stone, slate and tile designs with grout lines. It has become the go-to flooring for areas with heavy traffic.
Planks are created by several layers first glued together, these layers are merged with remaining materials, then glued and fused into a plank. The fused plank is either put together in a one or two-step process which provides a harder finish, and more durable plank than DPL.
Planks are created with all materials fused together in one-step which reduces the costs of manufacturing.
